Hosting Guidelines
For a step by step list to host scroll further down There are no hosting of joint chapter events by any SB members that may belong to other RH chapters. This means when you host an event you will be “hosting” it for SB only. You can however, open your event up and invite other RH chapters and other RHS members to attend your events. All SB events must be representative of our SB chapter. Only two members hosting each event will get credit for collaborating that event. You may have other helpers but only the two lead members will be credited. If you are a queen & a member of SB, the events you host will be for you host will be for your obligation to SB. You can however, invite your chapter to the event. Individually each member has a responsibility to support their chapter by hosting an event for that chapter. When hosting your SB event it will encourage uniqueness, innovation, creativity and chapter pride. It also indicates loyalty and fulfills your chapter obligation to host an event every year. This is a change effective beginning 2024. Every chapter has their own guidelines; and it’s the member’s responsibility to abide separately to each chapter’s requirements. Just as each individual Queen has their own expectations set-up for their chapters. We want to keep our chapter at its highest standards and make our member proud of their SB membership. If SB has any joint chapter events, in the future, they will be hosted by the Queens of each chapter. Guidelines for Prizes
Prizes are not necessary to add to any event. It is a "bonus" option and the hostesses' decision. When you are the hostess of an event the event and food are your main concerns. Unless you are hosting a larger event; like a Chili Cook-off or larger party; you so not need to giveaway prizes. If you want to give something try a small token to each member. This could be a paper Shamrock, Heart, Bunny, or anything to go with your theme. Some stores: Party City, Alin Party, or even the $1 Tree store. There you can purchase in bulk at lower cost. If in doubt always ask QM. |
